If you are a student at WCC, you are eligible to use the Student Resource Center! Just follow these steps:
Step 1: Make a phone appointment to begin the initial interview process
Appointments are necessary for us to provide individual services, which differentiate us from other service providers on campus. Appointments can be done by phone or virtually using a computer and webcam or smartphone.
Step 2: Gather and provide your information
The more information we have, the better we can meet your needs. Be ready with all of the following forms (or as many as you can) for your appointment:
- Class schedule
- Financial aid award or denial letter
- Most recent tax forms (federal), current pay stub or other proof of income
- Child care bill
During your appointment, a case manager will review your situation with you and, wherever possible, provide solutions that fit your particular needs.
We also review your total financial aid package and compare it with your educational expenses. If you have expenses that are not covered, we look at alternate sources of funding, such as the Carl Perkins grant for students in occupational programs who are single parents, economically disadvantaged families, out-of-workforce individuals, or non-traditional trainees who require financial assistance to complete an occupational program.
